Wayne Ballard
president
Wayne has been a resident of Chino Valley since the fall of 1996. At that time, he became the Lead Pastor of Grace Church. He and his wife Jenda have enjoyed being part of this community for over 20 years. Both he and his wife are actively involved in the school district.
His wife Jenda is a High School PE Teacher as well as the Unified Sports coach. Together, they have raised three children who graduated from the Chino Valley Unified School District and have continued their education at NAU. His daughter Christina has been hired as a 3rd grade teacher at Del Rio Elementary in 2019. Wayne volunteers at sporting events at Chino Valley High School, spoken to classes at Heritage Middle School, and reads with the 3rd graders at Del Rio. Wayne is also active on several community and non-profit boards.
Alex Daniels
Vice president
Alex Daniels is a senior at Northern Arizona University, studying to become an IT Network Administrator. He has a passion for serving in his community.
In 2018 he co-founded a program called Chino Valley Food Neighbors which to date has collected and distributed over 17,000 pounds of food. When Alex isn’t busy serving on the Foundation Board, he can be found hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors.

Marti Campitelli
Marty Campitelli was born in Brooklyn, New York, and lived there for 17 years. He then spent the next 18 years of his life in Huntington Beach, California. He received a Bachelor of Arts in English Education with an emphasis in Literature from the California State University at Long Beach. He then continued his education at CSU Long Beach, where he completed a California Single Subject Credential in English. After earning his teaching credential, he taught Language Arts and Reading Skills at Westminster High School in California. Since then he has completed a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Service Credential at National University, Costa Mesa. He later received a 2nd Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Currently, he lives in Prescott Valley, Arizona with his wife Jodie and their daughter, Harper. and is an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Chino Valley High School. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, reading, collecting books, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Rhonda Smith
Rhonda Smith has lived in Chino Valley for 12 years and is a retired Correctional Officer from the State of Iowa.
She has always had a desire to help others in many ways, so she has joined various organizations in Chino Valley. She joined the Chino Valley Morning Lions Club in September of 2016, the Lion/Lioness Club in June of 2018, Chino Valley Area Chamber of Commerce in January 2019, Hungry Kids from 2016-1019, and last but not least the Chino Valley Education Foundation from 2018 to present.


Paul Krznarich
Phil Krznarich is a third generation Arizonan and has been living in Chino Valley for 5 years. He has been married to his wife Ruthann for 43 years and has a son (Justin) daughter (Jacquie) and four grandchildren.
He has been in the financial services industry for over 21 years. He obtained the Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses in 2001, his Series 24 in 2008, and his Series 66 in 2018. He also received an Accredited Asset Management Specialist certification from the College of Financial Planning in 2006. Phil was an Investment Representative with Edward Jones from 2001 to 2007 and LPL Financial from 2007 to 2017, before starting his independent practice, Thunderbird Wealth Management, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor, in 2017. He has been on the board of the Chino Valley Education Foundation since 2019. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, travel, reading, and spending time with his family.

John Coomer
John Coomer is a quarter century resident of Chino Valley where all three of his sons are graduates of Chino Valley High School and two grandsons are Territorial Early Childhood Center students. He and his wife Jo have been married since 1984.
He’s been active in the Quad Cities for many years serving on numerous boards including West Yavapai Guidance Center (now Polara Health), Yavapai Exceptional Industries, Prescott Area Leadership, Prescott Alternative Transportation, and the Yavapai County Education Foundation.
His experience includes community college leadership, non-profit leadership, healthcare administration, and franchising. He also is a veteran, serving as an Officer in the United States Army. He earned his BA in Education at the University of Arizona in 1976 and MBA from Northern Arizona University in 1986.
Ron Stephensen
Ron Stephenson has lived in Chino Valley for the last 7 years. He retired as a Corporate Controller which he held for 14 years. Before that, he held programming, IT planning and budget management positions in the banking industry for over 25 years.
Ron has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting Option from California State University, Hayward. Ron has been married to his wife, Sue, for 46 years and has 2 adult daughters. Ron enjoys time outdoors and spends time working on handicrafts.


Cindy Daniels
Cindy has served as the Assistant Superintendent for the Chino Valley Unified School District since April 2008. Ms. Daniels is a native of Alberta, Canada and has been a proud US citizen since March 1980.
She is the mother of two Chino Valley High School graduates, Alex (2017) and Addie (2019), both currently college students.
Mike Commer
Mike is a local insurance agent and resides in Chino Valley with his high school sweetheart, Meagan. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Management ais looking forward to applying his knowledge to the Chino Valley Education Foundation.
Both Mike and his wife are graduates of Chino Valley High School and their two young boys attend Territorial Early Childhood Center. You can often find Mike and his family enjoying the outdoors and spending quality time with friends and family.

Dr. Ronald Minnich
Dr. Ronald Minnich retired after serving 18 years as Superintendent of Chino Valley Unified School District in 200. He came to this position after serving in other Arizona communities as: Assistant Superintendent in Globe; Principal of Sacaton Middle School; Assistant Principal of JFK Middle school in Phoenix; and Teacher in Willcox Unified.
He earned educational degrees at the University of Arizona following 7 years in the US Army as an Infantry Officer and helicopter pilot. Dr. Minnich served as Director of Teacher Education at Yavapai College for 5 years following retirement from CVUSD. Since then he has continued serving on several non-profit boards and enjoys spending time with his young granddaughters and lots of travel to far away places with his wife Janet, an elementary school teacher for more than 30 years in Arizona.


Beckey Massey
Beckey Massey has lived in Chino Valley since 2006 and immediately went to work at CVHS.
Beckey and her husband have been married for 36 years and have two boys who are both graduates of Chino Valley High School. They moved to Arizona from New Mexico in 1996.
In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and especially her three grandkids. Her hobbies include decorating, hunting, fishing and camping.
